Judith Leidl received
both her BFA and MFA from the internationally renowned Nova Scotia College of
Art and Design in Halifax, Nova Scotia. During her educational period, she was
awarded the Elizabeth Nutt Award and the Joseph Beuys Scholarship for academic
and artistic excellence. Since then, her work has been featured in over seventy
prestigious group and solo exhibitions both nationally and internationally.
Judith has received numerous awards for her artwork.
Judith Leidl has taught printmaking at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design
and at Nunavut Arctic College, Baffin Island. She served as Artistic Advisor to
the Pangnirtung Community Print Collection for four consecutive years
(2001-2004) and has conducted workshops in relief printmaking, collage and
drawing. Judith Leidl has been an instructor at Acadia University since 1998,
teaching courses in drawing and painting. Her work is represented in many
private and public collections both nationally and internationally. For more
